Slim Tablet: usbDetect: can not ioctl version (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (?) unknown. However, if I search for errors xorg's linux $grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log usb 1-4: Manufacturer: WALTOP International Corp. usb 1-4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 1-4: New USB device found, idVendor=172f, idProduct=0032, bcdDevice= 1.01 usb 1-4: new full-speed USB device number 6 using xhci_hcd When I plug in the tablet, it shows up in dmesg In the last stable kernel there is a "Aiptek 6000U/8000U and Genius G_PEN tablet support" under "Device Drivers > Input device support > Tablets", but it's not helping. I'm guessing that it stopped working when transitioning from 4.x kernels to 5.x. ![]() In principle, there is nothing wrong with my setup because I have another (more expensive) tablet that is working fine in the same box. That used to work fine in Gentoo a few months ago.but not anymore.
